Anyone having traveled over the last days through TPA? If so, are the lines longer to go through security?

Just wondering with an upcoming trip and how much extra time to calculate.

I was there this week and Precheck was open and clear. I only use Precheck so I dunno about the other line. I see that Trump is caving in to the Democrats tho, so I'm sure shutdown will end next week and TSA will be back to normal.

It's hard to keep track of all your fake names/accounts.

I meant in the airport itself, since Tampa is home I never had to deal with a layover or a huge delay, where I had to hangout at the airport.

Yeah, it was crazy up here today. Monday mornings are always bad, but it took up to 3 hours during the morning rush.

I went through security over the weekend and at TPA had 4 people in front of me without getting pre check like other times. That was an afternoon flight.

On the way back at NY airport the line was just as we had in the past when there was no furlough. No issues flying on a Holiday evening when lots of people try to get back for the business week.

At TPA the people in front of me all thanked the TSA employee for coming to work and telling him how they do support the reason for furlough, which was surprising for me to hear.
