Smile Moving from Illinois to Florida

We want to move to the Tampa or Orlando area. My fiancee is a construction worker, I do clerical. Does anyone know if there are alot of good jobs, especially for construction? My fiancee is considering getting licensed and starting a business. How are the schools? Does anyone know if Florida has a good special ed program. We have a 7 yr old daughter who is in community based education in Illinois. Does anyone know a good place for looking for rental propertyfor a 3 or 4 bedroom house.

I'm from Illinois, but I've never heard of "community based education". What do you mean by that? The schools are like in any larger community. Some are great, some are OK, and others are bad! You definitely want to do research on the schools prior to choosing a home.

We've lived in both the Orlando area and the Tampa area. I personally prefer the Orlando area, but don't have any major complaints about Tampa.

As for the jobs. Construction jobs here are limited. With the downturn in the economy and housing market that area of the job market has been hurt. Our neighbor is in construction and they are considering moving back north so he can find work.
