Hi, My wife and I currently live in Westchase. I work near Westshore and she will be working near the I74/I4 corridor. We are researching a good area to live that won't make either of our commutes horrible. 30 mins drive is fine with us. The traffic on the veterans is traffic, but it moves and I am used to 25-35 mins each morning. Any suggestions would be helpful. Looking for newer house or townhouse in the $275-350k range.

Why not stay where you are? Her commute would be a reverse commute, so she wouldn't be going with traffic for the most part.

I can't think of anywhere given your work locations that wouldn't be a compromise for one of you.

If you're looking for something comparable to Westchase, there's nothing of the sort in that area. Northwest of Brandon is East Tampa, not a good area. North of Brandon is Seffner ("Methner") which would also not be good. East of this area is rural.

Again, I think you're better off staying where you're at in my opinion.

Here is a BRAND NEW townhouse in the Westshore area. Zero commute. You are welcome.

https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sal...12_rect/15_zm/

Take it from someone who lives in Westshore and works in Westshore. Zero commute is where you wanna be!

From this townhouse it will take you 5 minutes to get to work. As for your wife, it will take her 5 minutes to get to 275 and 10-15 minutes to get to the I4/I75 area. I know b/c I have driven from Westshore to that interchange in the morning many times. Zero traffic on 275 going East unless there's an accident.
