Archie's Drive In (near Tarpon Springs) (Tampa, Clearwater: live, pine, area)

Many years ago, about thirty, I spent a lot of time in the Clearwater-Largo-Tarpon Springs area, my Siser In-Law owned a business in Clearwater and lived in Tarpon Springs, visited the area often and explored it somewhat.

One location was a Drivie-In cafe called Archie's, with a huge picture of the comic book character Archie on the sign... saw it several times in passing, but this being 1989-90 cameras were not as common as now, with modern cell phones.

Anyone own that way remmber ths place, and better yet, have a photo?

I found more on Archie's... possibly. Fom the interner:

"I had my first Cuban Sandwich from a little BBQ shack in the Greek community of Tarpon Springs, Florida. The name was Archie's Chicken Shack located at the corner of Pine and Hibiscus ..."

So Archie's was known as a "BBQ shack" by some.

Anyone remember this place?

I was born and raised in the area, but sorry to say I never heard of it. I myself have been trying to find the former location of a wonderful old hamburger joint called "Falors" in Tampa but without much luck. Good luck in your search.
