Default Looking at moving to Trinity any opinions?

Hi all. My husband is being relocated to Tarpon Springs as I've mentioned in other threads. After looking online at homes we've decided on Trinity and are coming down next week to check out the area. We would really appreciate any information and opinions people have on living there. If anyone has other suggested areas please pass those along as well....

I have a friend who lives in a gated part of Trinity. He loves it, sends his kid to Genesis school instead of public school because of the after school program. I've been down many times, and think highly of the area. If I were to move to Florida, I think Trinity would be the place I'd go to. Trinity West had the houses too close together, Trinity east has bigger parcels of land. Trinity Oaks had some flooding problems in the past, so check it out carefully.

Negatively, it is growing fast. Some of the land they are building on, in my opinion is not well suited. Too marshy or sandy, and they don't allow the foundations to settle long enough. I think this is one of the contributing factors in Pasco county's high sinkhole rate.
They are adding more schools as the student population explodes. Commuting to Tampa is a busy commute even when using the Suncoast Parkway.

Thank you so very much for posting a response. We are going down this week to look at the area and it really is helpful to know more from people who aren't real estate agents. Sometimes I can't help but feel they just want to sell and not listen.

Thumbs up Trinity, FL

Pooh, Trinity is a VERY nice town. Definitely worth checking out. It's a little on the pricy side form my budget, but if you can afford the area, a great place to live! West Pasco County is a nice area overall. I love it here.
Mary

Thank you so much Holiday for posting. My family and I are excited and nervous at the same time. Relocation will be a nightmare, this I know but looking at homes and areas is exciting!

I just moved to New Port Richey (right next to Trinity) my bank is in Trinity. It seems like a very nice community that is just begining to bud. Now woud be a great time to move in housing prices are very reasonable and I think Trinity will continue to be developed in the future. Lots of new things being built and they allready have nice roads and other infrasture in place for that growth.

Hi - a recently divorcee - my children and I are thinking of moving next month to the area. Initially we were looking to go to St. Augustine, but have family in New Port Richie/Trinity. Think family is important right now - coming from CT - it is going to be a major life change. Any thoughts on schools - areas. Am debating between Palm Harbor and Trinity. Any help with the two counties? Kids and I are looking for a peaceful change. No snow and beautiful beaches and small places to find our place.
