I remember when I got here in 1969 that Honeymoon Island, right next to Caldesi, was called "Dog Beach" because we could take our dogs there. Honeymoon is also beautiful. Those were great days.. no restrictions, no signs and everyone behaved. Now it's a park with an $8 entrance fee and has signs everywhere. Don't do this and Don't do that.....

Sadly, we have become a lawless society.

Interesting list. If I make the annual trip to visit my friend in Tallahassee in the fall, I'll be going to St. George Island for the first time.

Thanks for posting.

Let me point something out: we keep posting the best beach, and soon none of us will be able to enjoy any of them anymore thanks to the crowds taking over!

I remember HI in 2007! There was no one on it; it used to be a peaceful place to go to...now forget it; it's been invaded by rude people, and so crowded it's not worth going anymore. Shame.
