Default Possible

There is ground transportation from TIA to Orlando which is east of Lakeland. Look here, then give them a call --> TPA | Ground Transportation#

Greyhound bus service
Greyhound.com : Ticket Center : Step 1

From the airport in Orlando you will probably need to take a taxi to the bus station, in Tampa it is about 10 blocks to UT from the bus station. A taxi shouldn't be too expensive for the short ride

Amtrak runs from Tampa to Lakeland. There's a very convenient city bus that goes from the airport to Downtown Tampa.

Put in a $15 bid via Priceline for a rental car out of TPA. I can't imagine with taxes and fees it would run more than $30. I often successfully bid $10 or $12 for rental cars from Priceline.

If you can't spend $30 for a chance at a job, then perhaps you need to step back and look at the bigger picture.
