Nope, definitely fatter around than a Sandhill crane. There have been times I look across the pond and thought it was a deer standing there at 1st glance and then realized it was one of the big birds.

I live in Tampa off Nine Eagles near Racetrack Rd.(Westchase/Waterchase area). My townhome is on a pond and we see egrets, doves, cardinals and some other birds whose names I do not know. I love watching them and used to have a bird feeder near the trees behind my patio, but the squirrels were getting most of the food so I took it down.Any suggestions for a more squirrel proof feeder are appreciated. My daughter and I were really surprised to see a falcon (we looked it up to be sure) perched on my neighbor's bird feeder this afternoon. It allowed her to approach and move to the other side of it and she got a great video. We have been here 8 years and this is the first falcon we've seen.

Never see any of that. But there has been a ugly stork poking and proding in my yard like a dork the last few weeks. Never seen one before in my area. Just odd if ya ask me.
