It is going to be something. I haven't played with other musicians since 1999. BUT ... it has always like riding a bicycle. I am sure it will flash back, and the rust will disappear very fast.

This is what I have done for almost all of my life. Playing guitar is almost as good as sex to me. (I did say ALMOST ... LOL)

Well ... to update this.

The rust is going away and it feels great to be playing again.

I am starting to get that feeling of, "If I can think it ... my fingers will do it" back.

I have started to upgrade my gear back to pro status. 18 years was too long to be away, but the fever is just as strong.

All I can say is ... "Watch out .... Wally's back and kicking real high"

I would like you to contact me. I lived and worked at Sabrill in the early and mid 70's. Kathy Bickford and I were an item for most of that time. I also sang and played guitar.

Pretty sure Bringe Music is still around (1st Av. N.). But alas, the Out Of Sight shop is long gone.

It is over a year since I posted this. Update is that the drummer was the band leader, and had some minor mental problems. He has spent the past year slandering and harassing me at various sites on the net.

To top it off, I met a really sweet woman and married her, but she has given me the fatal choice of my music or her. She has left me without any transportation, and facing being homeless.

I don't have a job. 65 years old. 66 on the 19th of December. When I was young I could deal with situations like this, but now ... I am really worried. This is the first time in 35 years that I do not have transportation, and I am living in a trailer park in west Lakeland, with hardly any stores, or anything to do. The rent is due and my social security check will not cover it. My wife and I were combining our checks in order to cover the bills. No one seems to care if I live or die.

I have my equipment, but have had no luck in getting a gig.

I really am up the creek now.
