I was kidding about the theatre thing. I grew up in the Bronx so I don't think it is anywhere near like I grew up with.

The movie was great, too tired to go into detail though.

We live in Wesley Chapel and things are wonderful here. We have three children in school out here and we haven't seen much gain activities at all. Some kids consider themselves as part of a gang, but they are really good kids who stay out of trouble. So that may be what you are hearing. We moved out here 8 years ago because the schools in the district we were living in Tampa had really started to go down. This is the best move we made. Things are pretty quiet. I wouldn't be alarmed. Rest in knowing that this is a great place to raise kids.

I don't think a place where "kids consider themselves part of a gang" to be a great place to raise children.

Those " little punk ass fake gang bangers in pasco county" as you put it may not be an issue for you, but for many families trying to raise a family it is an issue. A gangbanger from Ohio or a gangbanger from Florida are no different. They are out commiting crimes and ruining peoples lives.

Samir, I am from LA, lived out there for 25 years, and Cleveland doesn't hold a candle to the gang activity out there. Look at the Pasco Times. Recently there have been multiple homicides in Pasco...both in Hudson/New Port Richey and also in Dade City. All of them are drug related and one of the recent ones (in Fox Hollow) has been gang related. Gang activity is a "problem" as long as it exists. Sure, they are not on the level of an LA gang or even a Cleveland gang member, but once it starts, it only gets worse. I am just letting people know there ARE issues in Pasco. Why lie about it and bury it? People will find out sooner or later, unless they just want to bury their heads in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist.

It doesn't matter where you go, there are going to be gangs. Some might be the bigger ones like GDs, VLs, Bloods, Crips if you live in the city while the rural towns are more likely to have smaller homegrown gangs. And people always say, its just a bunch of punk wannabes, and some of it is. But most kids who get into that lifestyle take it VERY seriously. If you think they're all a bunch of wannabes, go tell them that yourself, cause most of them are quite eager to make a name for themselves as being the most violent of the group. ALL gangs start as a bunch of punk kids that no one takes seriously. By the time the start really getting into the robberies, murders, and drug dealing... its too late. Everyone you take of the street has another coming in to take his place. I'm from Flint, Mi where there are a lot of these little hometown gangs (Swisher Boys, etc) and they are often much more violent than the bigger name gangs because they have a need to make a name for themselves.
