My husband is looking at an early 2009 relocation to Florida. He would be working from home as a condo association manager and traveling between his communities, located along the coast from Venice to North Tampa. We will be renting, as we don't know how long-term this move will be. We'd like to find a town that is family-friendly, safe, and not over-crowded. We have a 2 year old, a 1 year old, and one due in August. We would prefer to be in the country, but I don't know if there is anything like that within commuting distance.

Will he be in one location more than another? For a more rural feel in N. Tampa I would recommend Lutz, Odessa or Land O lakes.

Venice is a pretty long drive from N. Tampa. Depending on where else he will be traveling to and how often, you might be able to find something more in the middle of those 2 places.

[quote=Keeper;4472056]Will he be in one location more than another? We are not sure yet. Its one of those things that we won't discover until we've lived it for a while, I'm sure. I saw a thread about Parrish on the Sarasota board. That seems like a possibility; its pretty central to the areas he'd be frequenting.

There is nothing much left in Hillsborough county that is not over populated anymore.
Some areas you might want to look into:
Lutz
Land O' Lakes
Wesley Chapel (Pasco Co.)
South Tampa
Old Carrollwood

Good luck.
