I like walking my dog at 10:00pm and know that I'm safe. Any information on the area would be helpful. Thanks

I live in NPR and have all my life. (I am 40 years old) I have seen many changes, and not for the good! There is a large population of elderly, more traffic than ever! What use to take me 15 minutes to drive can take over 1/2 hour! Crime is up, this weeks Pasco Times had over 1/2 page of crimes listed for the week and there is more and more gang activity here. Pasco, Pinellas, and Hernando are quoted "sink hole alley" and our homeowners insurance is outrageous! Mine is over $3,000, my parents over $4,000 and my brother just got his new bill and its $8700. We have small to moderate homes, mine is actually the larges but I am in a "better" zip code. My brother and mother live on the west side of US 19 (NOT on the water) where insurance is crazy expensive. Most people commute outside of NPR (county estimates over 80,000 commute to work outside of Pasco County each day) for work unless you don't mind minimum wage jobs. If I were looking to move somewhere in Florida it wouldn't be here. We are planning to move out of state, as Florida has become a playground for the rich!
