When prices this time last year were about $120-130 for my monthly electric-they are now running me about $185-210! This is for a 3 br. 2 ba. apt.! We don'e do anything different with our a/c or lights that we have ever. My GOD! TECO is seriously getting out of control...does anyone else agree?!

It's not only TECO - we are stuck with Lakeland Electric - even higher charges. Last year mine were always well under $200 even in the hottest months. This year we have CUT BACK and charges are over $200!l All the utilities are raising their rates!

My electric bill last month was nearly $400 for a 2170 square foot home. I'm not too happy about paying more, but the price of fuel is rising. It's just a fact of life these days.

I do like TECO's service though. When I lived in Tennessee, the power went out whenever the wind blew. When you consider all the storms we have here, we're lucky to have a company that is so reliable and works so hard to restore service after hurricanes.

I have to say, I would personally look forward to a 250 dollar electric bill...I live in Pittsburgh, and currently I pay 150 for electric and 300 for natural gas.

I could easily do away with the gas bill and be happy

I would probably trade my Florida salary for a PA salary and your gas bill.

When I said PA salary, I was speaking in general terms. I know my job up north pays much more than down here.

If your electric bill is too high then disconnect their service and get your electricity from another provider.
No wait...we can't do that can we?
I wonder if the utility companies know that?
Monopoly is my favorite game...if I'm winning...
