Default Any info on LARGO please....!

Hi,
I am contemplating a temp job in Largo, FL. I would love to get any feedback on the nature of this city. Also, I would be looking for a short term apartment. Any info about certain areas (street ranges) to stay away from would be greatly appreciated, as well as recommendation on where TO live.

I have worked/lived in Palm Beach county several times and loved it there. Never been on the W. coast of FL. Is it very different? Thanks in advance for all replies!

Workplace would be 14th st. SW in Largo.

In general Largo is a nice place. I'll let others answer who live there and are more familiar with specific areas.
Check on MyNewPlace.com for apts there.
Good Luck!

How about the Floral Garden apartments on Gardenia Place between Belcher & Starkey and Bay and Ulmerton? Is it safe, nice? How about alligators in the area?

Bad areas of largo are Ridgecrest, High Point, just north of downtown up Clearwater- Largo rd. Can't picture excactly where Floral gardens Apts is but that general area is ok. Only alligators I know of are in Taylor Park lake and Walsingham Resivoir.

I have no personal experience, but An RE Broker friend of mine from Sarasota frequents Largo for the East Bay Golf Club. She says the surrounding area is very nice. She also says Largo has some really good medical specialists (she's had knee, shoulder, and back surgery).

Bardmoor in Largo is VERY NICE. Check in that area. My mother lives in Somerset Lakes and she loves it.

I love Largo, I live there, we are pretty well in Seminole, south of Walsingham Road.
So close to the beaches, walkable toIndian Rocks Shopping Center, there are apartments on Walsingham, not sure how good they are, tons of homes to rent just now at reasonable prices. Ifyou are over 55, tons of really nice condos in Lakeview of Largo.

All my friends that live there call it Larghetto........as many others do also, residents and non-residents alike.

They do have a great auction house though on Ulmerton, RIZZOS AUCTION, just east of the railroad tracks.

GREAT PLACE TO BUY AND SELL MERCHANDISE...........

There is Largo and there is Largo. I am a female quite happy to walk my dog late at night on the streets in largo. You are painting a very unfair picture of Largo with your comments about other side of the railroad tracks, I'm not sure which parts your friends frequent, but they probably are not very savory.
