Red face Rants from Apollo Beach Fl and questions???

Well, I am probably rambling here, BUT we moved here ONLY a month ago. While we LOVE it because of the nice weather, clean atmosphere, and good overall rapport, I find myself at a loss for things to do?
I know that there are a ton of things to do around here (and Tampa), but I have no clue. We are from out of state, and I dont know where to start.
We have a 6 year old daughter. Since we have no family and no friends yet, we have to take her with us everywhere we go (which could be part of the problem). Thus far, we have gone to a Rays game (Amazing by the way), did a whole lot of shopping, and went to a few beaches.

Any suggestions for families to do / where we can have fun?
Possibly meet other families at?

Desperately bored

Have you been to Fort DeSoto? St. Pete Beach? Sunken Gardens? Brandon Mall? The Pier? Apollo Beach's power plant area to view the manatees?

Find something for a 6 yr old like gymnastics, soccer, or other activities. Find 5k runs for yourself. Go fishing. Play golf. Find a concert to attend, go to the art museum in Tampa. Play tennis.

Those are some really good suggestions. We are going to start Oct 1st at a local gym as a family. My daughter is going to get tennis lessons and... we just met some friends
Looking good here in Apollo Beach.
Thank you all for your replies.

I might suggest the Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, or MOSI (Museum of Science & Industry). All family friendly and fun places to visit.
