Do you even have a clue how the clearance rate is calculated? Do you know those numbers are skewed by a very simple method: a report is made for a burglary, for example. There is no perp. The initially unknown perp then goes to a local pawn shop and sells the stolen property from the burglary. A new report is made for the dealing in stolen property, with a known perp. Perp is arrested for the dealing charge but denies the burglary- says he got the stuff from a friend. Sheriff's Office still clears out the burglary case "assuming" the perp did the burglary also and clears out the dealing case. One person, two clearances. Intersting how that number can be fudged, huh? It's been done on large scale burglary cases too-20 cars get broken into on the same street and a perp is arrested. He admits to only 2. He is charged with two and the case detective clears out the other 18, again "assuming" the same guy committed the crime. He's not arrested for them, mind you- the cases simply go "bye bye" into the wonderful world of clearances courtesy of the FBI.
I got way off track anyway on this thread. It's been a pleasure, but at least we had a good debate. Back to your regularly scheduled topic!

Just a note on that.
I am sure if they are doing it that way now, they were doing it that way before so the numbers really aren't skewed.
And numbers and percentages do back up an argument better than anecdotal evidence.
Later.

New Port Richey is a quaint place and I do highly recommend it. It has a canal that runs across one area and you can drive down the road beside it and you will see the beautiful homes along that way and the downtown area is nice with the specialty shops and restauarants. You are so close to the ocean here and I enjoy living here myself. My neighbors are so thoughtful and friendly. I just know that you will feel right at home here. Mary

You may be close to the water but you aren't close to any nice beaches in NPR.

Green Key isn't too bad, for Pasco. You're better off heading south into Pinellas and checking out Fred Howard Park, or even Honeymoon Island. Beautiful areas. Green Key had a lot of problems a couple years back with car break ins and indecent exposure along the main road near the mangroves. But I think it's been cleaned up since then.

I live in port richey, have for about a yr, and now time to move... i lived in npr for 33 yrs, and i was nice.. pecan trees and orange trees everywhere u looked, but then 54 changed to a 6 lane hiway and now theres nothing but traffic, and banks.. oh and walmarts everywhere... i moved to port richey 2 yrs ago, hopeing to find a little slower pace, but it seems Six flags just bought sum land up here...truth is, its not very safe here in port richey. lady was killed when someone tried to grab her purse, she fell down and died from a head injury, that was about 10 min from me. my bikes were stolen from my house, and 3 neighnbors also. the schools suck. traffic is aweful...EVERYDAY... trust me, if ur looking to go to port richey, u may want to look about 45min north. spring hill is safer and alot nicer

Agree 100% with the comments about Port Richey. It almost seems like it isnt as busy down south in Pinellas!! I think the Pasco county developers and planners are doing a miserable job, they just seem to try to cram all the homes and businesses in one spot and work out traffic logistics later on. Bad idea.

That is Port Richey. You go to NPR off of Little rd and it is a world of difference. They even have a beautiful neighborhood tucked away called Aristida. 1,000,000 + homes and the shopping center off of little and 54 is great. When we lived there last year we just stayed away from 19.
