Default Homeowners insurance

So we found a house about 60 miles north of Tampa. We will need a quote on homeowners insurance. Problem - I went on line to the major insurance companies (State Farm, Travelers, etc) and cannot get an online quote.

Basically, I need to find out which insurance companies will sell this insurance and which will not.

Does anyone know where I can get this information?
Thanks.

You can look on the state sponsored website here ---> Compare Homeowner's Insurance Rates. But if I were you, I'd find a good insurance broker who is working in the business daily. You didn't say where the house is, but if it's near Brooksville, I'd suggest you also contact Killingsworth Insurance on Cortez Blvd.

Good luck!

Ramsgate Ins. can help you too. Just ask for a quote. I was switched over from Hannover Ins. that stopped writing it in our area and they switched us over to First Home owners ins. and it is even cheaper with the same conditions.

I'm not related in any way with them, just a customer that is happy!

People above suggested some good names. Or, you can also go to www.netquote.com , fill some information and have insurance agent get back to you with quotes.
