Default Riverview - What time is Trick or Treating?

I just moved to Riverview, FL in May and even though I have no children I want to be prepared for when they come trick or treating. In Milwaukee, where I used to live, there were postings in all the news papers as to what day and time trick or treating was. I have yet to see one peep about it in any paper around here, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Is it just Halloween Day at dusk or another date?

I am not sure about Riverview, but in Brandon the kids start early, I think around 6 or 7. I haven't seen them come before halloween.

I have lived in the Brandon Florida area all of my adult life and I have never seen trick or treating before the actual day of halloween (door to door that is...private events are different) as far as the timing.... I have seen the very young ones start out as early as 4:30 which, even though I too have a young preschooler (he is just 4) I think anything before about 5:30/6:00 is just too early as most aren't even home from work yet, and if so surely haven't even had a chance to feed their families let alone get ready for non stop door bell ringing! I'd say majority begin around 6ish! Have fun and welcome to Florida!

I am in Riverview and it is just a little after 6:00 now and it looks like they are starting to bring the babies out. The development where I live, Villages of Bloomingdale, has lots of kids so I imagine I will be slammed tonight. Spent a small fortune on candy and am still afraid I will run out lol. Oh well, I am going to enjoy it while I can. I love seeing all the kids in their costumes and how excited they get.

They are out in droves here tonight that is for sure. Even the mosquitos aren't keeping them away.

To the OP, the obvious answer is "when it gets dark". They started hitting my house hard around 7:20p. Some of them are getting greedy and coming around twice already
