I couldn't believe it. I was watching that movie, "The Punisher" with John Travolta, and it was filmed in Tampa. I recognized most of the spots. The nightclub they called Saints and Sinners was Malijos Steakhouse at the bottom of the Sykes building. Then they were in front of the Colombia in Ybor, and quite a few downtown scenes. But he best was the car chase scene right on Cass St. bridge! I wonder why they chose Tampa of all places? They actually made it look like a happenin' place.

Probably because there were alot of incentives to shoot in Tampa, the sequel(which just came out), was shot in a different location. There have been several movies and TV shows(eg. Cocoon, Cop and a Half, Seventh Heaven, Rookies, etc.) shot in the Bay area, there is an entitre department dedicated to attracting studios to Tampa Bay>>
