Not bad for $125,000 although it's only 1,239 square feet...

However...

P/MID: 4018214 Year: 2008 Folio: 88353-3320 Pin: U-29-30-21-649-000058-00005.0 AppCode: A

The total taxes due were $4,502

I don't see how that could really qualify as a "good deal" when compared to oh... I dunno... Houston, TX

When you can get something like this...

Houston, TX 77545 - HAR.com

That's 2,572 square feet and the taxes due on this house..

Address N/A, MLS#: 20770614 - TAX Record

are $4,192.

Not trying to stir the pot or anything, Just curious as to the thoughts of people moving to Florida these days..
I get your point... taxes and insurance can kill a good thing as well as all the $300 a month HOA fees on the Houston house

I would check the property appraiser website.. There was no homestead exemption on the house. That probably indicates that the house was a rental since it has been owned by the same ppl since 03. Fishhawk has a special tax that not all subdivisions have.

Totals for 2008 due Last yr $3,032.60 proposed $2,636.69 rollback $2,744.44
With homestead $1,860.02

I must agree with your discription although some members don't.
Well Meltin, my guess is that it would require a certain type of person to appreciate the Riverview area.

For those unaware a visit to the local supercenter, a visit to nearby Wimauma
and a ride through downtown Riverview during rush hour should suffice. As you go pay attention to the traffic speeds.

I actually talked to a real estate agent there and have been told that they are annual, or $300 for the year... I've seen some listed as much as $600-$700 there...

Anyhoo - I'm searching condos on ziprealty.com and I put in my criteria:

3bed/2bath - up to $120k built between 2000 and 2008 and all these condos in Riverview FL come up for under $80k.

Can this be too good to be true? Is this a tough crime area? These condos are very beautiful - granted, they abutt 75, but even for the short money, it would be worth it.

The streets in question are Amberdale Court, Skydale Way, Newdale Way - etc.

Someone tell me I'm dreaming.

Thanks!
I know the Skydale Way ones you speak of. There are a TON of condos for sale in that neighborhood and I can't say the crime rate is great over there. The builder is still building in that community and for a lot more than those condos are going for - tons of foreclosures. You'd be better off for an investment just buying a single family home in Riverview. I've seen some 3/2's recently in the $83K range - bank owned.
