Can anyone refer me to a good pediatrician in the Tampa area? Preferably one experienced with childhood Lupus. I could also use a referal to a good rheumatologist that is experienced with treating Lupus - either a pediatric, or adult rheumatologist willing to treat a child will do.

I have been really focused on finding an area to live and a home but now that it is getting closer to time for us to relocate, I realized it is time to start checking into things like doctors, etc.

Call your local hospital and they have a physician referral line and also ask for their physician's book. I got one when I moved to the area and it shows a pic of the doctor, their background and specialties etc. You can ask them questions too. Good luck.

I started seeing Rheumatologist Dr Joel Silverfield with Tampa medical group for my RA when I was 15. He has several offices in the Tampa area.
