Where is an affordable area outside of tampa? We don't really like big city life. We are looking to relocate from upstate, NY. I am an RN and will be looking for a home under 150,000, or even rent for a year. What is your suggested area to check out that would be within decent commuting time/distance to areas that I would have the best chance at finding employment. We are coming down in february to look around. Thanks.

if you're not into city life check out wesley chapel, zephyr hills area. cheaper housing than tampa and very close to USF, that area has a hospital and several other medical facilities that need RN's.

Riverview has lots of subdivisions and the prices are down. Closest hospital would be Brandon but you wouldn't be too far from Tampa General or St. Joe's

You can also check out Oldsmar or Safety Harbor in Pinellas County. There is Mease Countryside Hospital near both of these cities.
