Does anyone know a nice place (rental hall, club house, golf clubhouse) to rent for a baby's 1st birthday party where I can bring my own food in the Citrus Park/Carrollwood area??....would prefer a place that also has a playground next to it, but it's not necessary. I was going to have my daughter's party at the park, but it is now forecasted to rain and our house is too small....

I don't know a place in that area, but I have heard that Seven Oaks rents our a part of the clubhouse for birthday's and/or parties. Maybe you should contact a community clubhouse near you and ask...specially in todays economy some places might consider to rent it out to have some extra income...

Happy Birthday

Do you have any friends or family who reside in a community with a clubhouse? That would be my first suggestion. If not, try A Play Patch on the Tampa/Oldsmar border. www.aPlayPatch.com view and you'll find their rates. I had several friends who had their children's parties there and they were allowed to bring food and drinks. Probably more than you want to pay, but it might be what you're looking for.

Otherwise, might I suggest the spraypark in Oldsmar on Pine Ave.? They have two large pavilions and restrooms. Kids love it there and they'll stay nice and cool and content! If it rains, the pavilions are large enough to take cover.
