Default moving to Florida!

My fiance and I (both 32) are looking to move to Florida over the next 3 months, from Mass.
I have a much older friend in New Port Richey, so I was thinking about moving into that area, and the real estate looks affordable.
I am a veterinary technician, and he is a computer geek.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for us? How is the job markets in these area, or how can I find out?
Anyone have any recommendations on real estate agents/buyer's agents, etc?

Any help would be great!

New Port Richey is very reasonably priced. As far as employment, you may have to go outside of the New Port Richey area. You could either go to Clearwater area or Tampa. Just be sure to check on insurance before you consider buying there. While insurance is expensive everywhere in FL, you may be required to have more coverage if you're too close to the coast.

I hope this helps.
