My husband may be getting a job in Carrollwood. We would like to get an idea of what neighborhoods to start looking around that area? We have 3 going on 4 children so are looking for a safe neighborhood, but reasonable enough for us to afford the size house we are going to need. Hopefully something in the $1200/ a month range. To actually live in the Carrollwood town looks to be a bit expensive so I was looking to find neighborhoods close by. Any suggestions?

We've been looking on Craigslist. I have family in the area and they told me that a lot of people find nice houses for rent on Craigslist.

I just rented my home and used Craigslist...it worked really well and I had a lot of calls and emails and it was off the market fast.

Oeps I forgot there is a for rent section on this forum and you can either post that you are searching/wanted for rent, or look if some one maybe has put an add on in an area you like.

Were I in your position, I would look around Northdale, Country Place, Carrollwood Meadows and Country Run (all located west of Dale Mabry and north of Fletcher). Please keep in mind these neighborhoods were built in the mid-80s...some will be updated, but many will not. Personally, I would not recommend Northlakes or Hampton Park (others may differ). This may be difficult to do in your price range, but be persistent and you'll find something. I hope this helps a bit!
