Default Thinking of moving this summer to Citrus County Area

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any replies to this thread. My wife, five children (10, 7, 6, 3 & 1) & I are seriously thinking of moving to Florida when this school year is over. So sometime this summer time. We currently live in Yonkers, NY and are renters paying $1200 a month on rent. I'm an IT tech and she works as a Pharmacy Technician for CVS. Her job allows transfers, while mine is only local so I would need to find something wherever I move. My wife hates the cold weather and wants to live down south, as she used to live in South Carolina and prefers the warmer weather.

If we move I preferred to move to Florida, specifically either the Spring Hill area or Citrus County, as I have relatives in both places. I believe I prefer the Citrus County area because of the school district. From what I've read the Lecanto schools are excellent. Is all of Citrus County allowed to enroll at the Lecanto schools? Where is a great place to continue to raise a family. Our kids are use to doing sports leagues all year round, not being too far away from zoos, parks etc., while also being in a relatively crime free area.

I would appreciate any and all input. Thanks.
