Default Things To Do In Riverview

We're moving from South Tampa to Riverview due to problems we've been having with our rental property. We're really excited about the house we're moving into but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do in Riverview.

Can anyone recommend any good restaurants or fun places to hang out? We're a professional couple in our early 30s without children.

Also, is Davis Island the closest dog park?

I am not sure about the dog park thing, but your best bet is to go to Brandon-Riverview is the neighborhood right next door and Brandon isn't too far. There is plenty of food to eat there. I really like Buca which is off of Causeway/Lumsden like in the front of the parking lot where JoAnn's is. Longhorn is always good for steaks and JoTo's (off of Lumsden, in a little plaza. Once you gert to Lithia Pinecrest you will make a left and then a direct right into the plaza) is AWESOME! Great food-it's a hibatchi grill. Sunami (off of Providence on the left side in a plaza with old Chicago and Cold Stone) is good for asian cuisine. I go there to get my Bulkogee (korean barbque, I am half korean).

We went out there today to check things out. Winthrop Town Center looks like it has a lot of stuff we'll like. They have a Green Iguana and an Acropolis that has a lot of outdoor seating. Also a Peruvian place that looks like it will be nice.

My husband is really into beer pubs. I heard Old Chicago has a nice selection. Does anyone know of any other places in the Riverview/Brandon area?

If you can get to Brandon you can get to Yborg City in old Tampa. Just head west untul you reach Rt. 41 and head north to Tampa. It takes you to Yborg. Plenty to do there.

Thanks, we love Ybor. The Rum Runners at Centro Ybor are my favorite.
