I have seen some ads lately for a 12X24 pool with screen enclosure for $21,000
It will vary some by area but if you figure on $25,000 you should be able to get a decent pool.
I went with alot of upgrades including salt system, pavers instead of cool deck, waterfall, heater, supersized the enclosure including 500 sq ft covered area and a few other things and it came in around $39,000 and that was when everyone was busy so it would probably be a bit less now.

My latest quotes for a 15X30 without screened enclosure, Paver decking, was $24000. Add a heater=$2400. Add a spa=$6000.

After costs (increased home insurance, taxes), maintenance costs, electricity/h20 bills are what scare me about pools.
