Hi! I'm a 21 year old recent graduate moving from the Midwest to Tampa next month. It's going to be a very, very quick move since my training for my new job starts April 27th and I will not have a chance to really scope out the area before moving. But I am super excited!

I'm looking to rent a studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment/condo. I'd prefer an apartment that has a dishwasher, washer and dryer (inside) or hookups at the very least, walk-in bedroom closet, fitness center, pool, balcony/patio etc. Iíd also prefer a location thatís more modern where a young single female would feel comfortable, safe, and could socialize. Iím hoping to find something at the $750-777 price range or lower if possible.

Iíve already searched on rent.com, apartments.com, craigslist.com, apartmentratings.com, remax.com, etc. But, itís so hard to get a feel if itíd be the right fit just by seeing pictures and looking at a website.

Does anyone have any specific communities/complexes in the Tampa area that they would suggest/recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated it.

There are several apartments in that area. I can't vouch for any of them. I think they've been posted about before.

Desperately seeking safe, low-crime apartment complex in or near Tampa.

Moving to Tampa! Need advice on where to live

Thanks for those links BucFan! They were helpful. I noticed that Berkshires at Citrus Park was mentioned more than a few times on those threads... They look to have everything I'm looking for in terms of amenities and are also substantially below my $775 max. Seems alittle too good to be true. What's the catch? Are they in a really bad area?

Any other similar specific complex suggestions?

Of course, you never really know what you're getting into unless you visit the place, talk to the tenants, if possible. Parking, noise, break-ins, etc., etc. - very hard to predict what these complexes have going on.

Citrus Park is a good area. Close to a mall and other shopping/restaurants. Traffic is pretty bad during rush hour but you do have 2 ways to get to Rocky Point.
