Default video production in tampa

I'm looking to move to the tampa st. peter area. I've worked in television production for fifteen years. For the last ten I've done primarily sports production work. I do editing (evs/tape) and camera work. I have worked with all the major networks, (espn, fox affiliates, versus,) I've also done affiliate work, conventions, etc.

I would love to continue doing sports work, but, I'm flexible enough that I could move in another direction. Anyone have any experience in the tampa tv, production world?

any info would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Try Home Shopping Network located in St Petersburg. They have the largest television production facilities and staff in the area which includes multiple studios. If you’re looking for editing or camera work they are often looking for experienced production staff. HSN's pay scale for production may be slightly higher than most in the area. Not much in the way of sports but they have excellent studio facilities and resources. The large staff and production needs can lead to more promotion opportunities into producing or directing. If you send your demo reel and resume to HSN human resources department I'm sure you'll hear back from them quickly.

Other local TV production or broadcasting networks are more difficult to penetrate. Its always easier to make the transition into one of the local broadcast markets once you have the local contacts and networking in place.

Good luck.
