Informative thread. I've been to Ocean City and Atlantic City's boardwalk...and Love them! I didn't realize Wildwood NJ had one as well...I'll have to research that now as well

Being from NJ that's one thing I'm going to miss is going to Wildwood in the summer... Fun place with a lot of things to do.

That's why I was hoping to find something like it down here...

We went there also, on Saturday. I think this thread planted a subliminal message that we should go there, when we were thinking of a place to take some out of town guests.

Where did you park? We parked in an unmarked spot that seemed too good to be true, and sure enough when we got out someone came up and said they "rent that space out for $5 a day." Figured that was probably easier than feeding a meter all day long, and we weren't sure how much the garage cost but I can imagine it was in the dollars also? Just curious for next time.

Glad you had fun! We did also.

I actually parked in the meter area parking lot.... when we found the spot it had two hours left on meter! Then we came back and put two hours worth of more quarters in the meter after that we were ready to go home...

The meter isn't that bad depending how long you plan on staying. You can do up to 4 hours at a time and it's one quarter for 15 minutes. So it's 1 dollar each hour.

I'm also from NJ, and like you, I also miss going to Wildwood in the summer. I've been in Florida about 4 months now and I still can't find anything close to a Wildwood style boardwalk here. Let me know if you do.

As the post is 5 years old i wonder if the op ever made it to Johns Pass.

You start to get an idea of the boardwalk at the 3 minute mark of the video..
