St Petersburg MLK/Central ave area - Central to everything and can walk to downtown or bike no problem.

St Petersburg beach area - Breezy, although bars arent totally my cup of tea, the vibes can be good.

Tampa/Ybor City - why? Most happening part of Tampa and scene is still quite good despite that Tampa isnt as good as St Pete

I really dont have one fav, but several areas, and all for one basic reason..charm, character, walkability, water access/views, mom and pop retail/restaurants:
In no particular order:
Pinellas County: Dunedin, Gulfport, Safety Harbour, Pass-a-Grille Beach, St Petersburg neighborhoods>Old Northeast.
Hillsborough County: Tampa neighborhoods> Hyde Park, Davis Islands, Bayshore Beautiful, Bayshore Gardens.

I like it here in Brandon/Riverview/Valrico. It's growing more and more and everything you need is here, plus it's not too far from Tampa, but not right on top of it either. There are a lot of new homes out here and it's a good place to raise a family---IMO.
