Also, I miss the way Tampa used to look before they ruined some historic neighborhoods running the freeways through them.
Little people relize that Ybor city used to be a lot bigger. But I-4 cut it in half and all we think of ybor now is in between SR 60 and the interstate.

what about the woolworth store downtown on franklin street ? I remember they used to have a lunch counter in there too did nt they ? wow . I remember that store vaguely . but do remember that they had a lunch counter . wow cannot believe the chatterbox is gone . when did they tear that down ? Is the one restaraunt called jimmy macs still there or is it gone too ? I guess some folks call that progress but I call it the loss of things well remembered .

The 28th Street Drive-in in St. Pete.

The old signs for Tahitian Inn and the Henderson Blvd. Shopping Center. Farner's Shoes. Westshore Mall (pre-remodeling). The restaurant in Burdines. Jai-Alai on Dale Mabry.

Does anyone remember a restaurant in Westshore Mall back in the day called Ferrell's?

I miss Twin Bays as well. It was the dollar movie. They need to revamp Britton Plaza and put a legit movie theater in there. They are also need to put another movie theater in the vicinity of where Mission Bell and Main Street used to be.

The Casbah Lounge at the Holiday Inn. The band Rhapsody played there on the weekends back in the early 80s.
