I've seen this tread for other cities and its getting a lot of posts, So I think Tampa Bay needs one. Remember something that use to be in the area but has since been demolised, torn down, went out of buisness... ect. Post your stories about it, whether you use to go there or see it a lot. For example, The old tampa stadium(big sombrero).

Used to go to the old Twin Bays movie theater behind Britton Plaza (where Lowes now stands) As a kid, also used to frequent a theater on Westshore where the Marriott is now located but I can't recall the name

Remember the old monorail in downtown. I hope the streetcar has more success then that did.

The old SuperTest amusement park, Biff-Burger, Twentieth Century Drive-In, Falor's hamburgers (this is all real old stuff).

Also, I miss the way Tampa used to look before they ruined some historic neighborhoods running the freeways through them.
