Default Moving to Tampa Contemplation for Young Single Professional

I am a 30 year old, single, professional with an opportunity to move to Florida, specifically Tampa, for work. I would love any advice on hip, trendy areas with luxury apartment rentals, perhaps near water, and entertainment options. I appreciate any and all advice for someone coming from Texas!

Hip trendy areas, luxury aprtment rentals in Tampa? Look at Hyde Park/SOHO, Channelside, Harbour Island, along Bayshore Blvd and central downtown Tampa.
Some examples are Post, which has nice properties on Harbour Island and 2 in Hyde Park. Element in downtown Tampa is a high rise rental. Check out craigslist, tbo.com or a realtor that specializes in rentals(there are many condos in those areas for rent).

Entertainment options = Hyde Park/SOHO, Channelside, Ybor City, Intl Plaza's BayStreet. There is theater, arts, museums, most professional sports, festivals, etc....just about anyting a large metropolitan area would have, but on a much smaller scale here in Tampa. There is also the sister city of St. Petersburg about 20 miles form Tampa across the Bay.
