Question Working For The State Of Florida Government

I know they pay dirt, but do they give annual raises? How much?

State gov't is the bottom of the barrel as far as pay scale for government work. Employees not only have not received raises for several years, many have lost jobs or taken pay cuts. I don't think anyone can get a job right now. My own husband works for Hillsborough county, and they are about to announce MASSIVE layoffs this week. This on top of unpaid furloughs. Now is not the time to be looking for a government job in Florida.

Sorry if this sounds negative, but unfortunately it's the way it is right now.
