I had posted earlier asking about respite care for our son who is severely handicapped. In Indiana, nursing homes provided brief respites. Does anyone have a good recommendation about a nursing home? Thanks!

Check out here. It is on Water's Ave near Sheldon. I delivered Meals on Wheels there and talked to a lot of the residents and they all were happy with the place although they all had their own little apts. They do have respite care. They have been around for years. One 94 yo resident told me when she could no longer live alone she would go into the nursing home there, even though she has family out of state she wanted to stay there.

I don't have any personal experience, but there are several in the Carrollwood area. Park Place is in Carrollwood Village, Manor Care is on Bearss Ave, and Brighton Gardens is on North Dale Mabry near Lutz.
