Default What is the area around St Pete Colleges Health Education Center?

I am hoping to move to Fl soon. My daughter would start college to be a Vet Tech. St Pete has a campus at the corner of Park Blvd and 66th in Pinellas Park. I would appreciate opinions of the safety of the area.

Hi! It is an okay area, but it is not the safest around. I would recommend that you live a few miles west, near Redington Shores, or a few miles east, near 4th St and Gandy (very accessible to Tampa and 275). Redington has some nice areas, and it is on the beach, but it is purely residential- no major big store chains within immediacy. There are many apartments at 4th and Gandy (Gandy runs into Park) that are not bad, and a few gated complexes (Inlet Bay, Isles of Gateway). I have a friend that lives off of 9th Ave near 66th, and he has no qualms with the area, aside from the crime. Hope I helped
