Default Hudson, Fl

Hudson is mostly residential area, with a small beach, Hudson Beach, a library, your usual assortment of stores. Its about a hour 1/2 away from Sarasota, Fl. Restaurants are chains, nothing really great. There's a Flea Market at Rt. 52.

Are you looking for something in particular?

Yes and lots of rednecks. They just busted up a major OXycodone drug ring there.

Charming place.

I'm not a Hudson or Port Richey fan. NPR and Spring Hill are nicer and have more to offer in the way of dining out, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Hi, I am also looking in the Hudson,FL area, near Fivay RD? Any info on this area, such as sex offenders and sink holes would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone can let me know what the average home insurance is, that would be great too!. I am looking to relocate from Ohio and currently applying for jobs, so any info on best jobs/area to look? Thanks Robin

Hudson dont have much, the only time i go there is for the flea market and when i feel the need for a beach its tiny 50ft beach is the only place around, several non descript shopping plazas along the dreaded Hwy19,couple of golf courses along SR52 and more non descript plazas. If you have a boat and are living on one of the many canals you'll have a great time fishing.
If you are coming to Florida to see miles of beautiful beaches with dunes and waves with lots of things to see and do Hudson is going to be a big disappointment as its just so....Non descript

Seeing how OP posted over a year ago, I guess it's safe to assume he disappeared in the Hudson black hole.

There is plenty to do in Hudson, I lived there for 2 years. It is certainly not an entertainment mecca but movies, some small bars, close to the gulf for boating. No real clubs to speak of.

Fivay Rd is probably the heaviest concentration of sinkholes in the area though. Between Beacon Woods, Millwood etc, they all have a lot.

Look about a mile east past Little Rd and Hudson Ave to Fairway Oaks, there are still sinkholes there but not as bad as Fivay area. Spring Hill is not that far north, you can get housing slightly cheaper, less incidence of sinkholes than Pasco even though they still have them.

As far as sex offenders, check the sex offender database. You will find many just like any city or state.

Plenty of red necks, drunks and small time drug dealers, almost as bad as Port Richey.
