I hope they appeal. I am sorry they lost their son , but he was in a parking lot drunk at 4:30am and used poor judgement.

What was a minimum wage security guard going to do other than call the police?

This is another case, just like the shooting of the 17 yr old, where no is accountable for their own actions.

It is everyone else's fault when you put yourself in a dangerous situation. Except your own of course.

I disagree....750 calls in 4 years for disturbances on the property? It was obviously a ticking time bomb and a known trouble area and yet the property owners ignored it. The presence of a security gaurd was definetly warranted and sometimes that's all it takes is just telling trouble makers that the cops have been called and they scatter quickly.

I agree with the both of you...It is kind of weird that others have to pay more since a few people are disturbing the piece, can't keep their hands to them self's, etc...

We live in a HOA community and have to pay so people watch the pool area to avoid vandalism due to other parents not interested to watch their own kids....Our HOA fee went up to pay for it, but it is less than paying to get all the damage repaired....so it chosing between 2 things, just because other parents and kids don't behave or aren't interested to act as a parent!
