Technically everything on the Interbay Peninsula, though "South Tampa" is bordered by Kennedy on the north and Gandy on the south.

South of Gandy is still South Tampa. May be less desirable in parts, but still South Tampa nonetheless.

You have 2 parts of South Tampa.. SoG which is the area 'south of Gandy' and NoG 'north of Gandy. Some parts SoG are iffy but there are other parts that are OK. New townhouses and now Interbay is becoming gentrified.

The parts of SoG(South of Gandy in South Tampa) that are very very nice include the area around Westshore Blvd along the water(Camden Apartments, Bella Aprartments, Westshore Yacht Club), area around Port Tampa City, there is some very nice new construction, and very old historic sections. And also the area around Ballast Point, east of MacDill Avenue to Bayshore Blvd. Other than that, alot of blue collar/working class, and military type areas.

I really love Ballast Point - somehow, to me, there is a great vibe in that area. If I were ever to move back to Tampa, I would probably look for something around there.
