Are there any specific neighborhoods in the Tampa Bay area where air traffic is a serious problem? Besides the areas very near the airport of course.

The airport really isn't as bad as you might expect. I would take it over the air force base, though. It can get pretty noisy down there, especially approaching the Air Fest.

We live 22 minutes from the airport west and have planes fly over twice a day in their way to the airport, but they only fly by in the morning and afternoon, none overnight...We are pretty used to it tho...I am sure if we lived in Westchase or Town and Country or around South Tampa it would probably be more annoying since they are really close ......

It's really not that annoying, even really close to the airport. You get used to it.

I lived off of Gunn and Anderson and found the airplanes annoying at times, but not impossible to live with.

It's annoying at my home occasionally, but flight patterns do change regularly. I don't think there's any way to avoid it unless you live many miles away.

I lived off of Memorial in Town n Country for a bit and it actually wasnt bad at all. I never heard them at my place, I only heard them when I was driving on Veterans or 275 and they were swooping over the road

I used to live 5 minutes away from the airport landing strip on Hillsborough and its annoying, but we're used to it. Anywere between sligh and hillsborough past dale mabry is bad with air traffic noise.
