Default Nice Beach Towns??

I am wondering what some of the nice, quiet, safe beach towns around Tampa are?

I can spend about 225k (and would prefer not to live in a crackhouse.) I am living alone, so a safe hood is a must. Would like to live near the beach, but within 30 miles of Tampa Airport as I will have to go their occasionally for work. An area with places to shop, walking trails, nice beaches, good gym, etc...

Any suggestions : )

Thanks!

Many areas of Pinellas county from Palm Harbor down to St Pete Beach have single family homes and condos, some in your price range, (I recently had a $239,000) lovely home about five - eight mins walk from Indian Rocks beach, fab area, nice house in great condition, so they are out there.
Try Seminole/Largo (near to the beach end) Belleair Bluffs, all nice, all have good facilities and all pretty good for single person living alone.

I prefer Pass-a-Grille/St. Pete Beach, though I enjoy most of the beaches from there up through Indian Rocks. There is practically no crime along the beaches. I'm not sure how far it is from the airport, but you can always Mapquest that.
