Default moving to Tampa-St.Pete

My girlfriend and I are moving from Port Saint Lucie to the Tampa-St.Pete area. Any suggestions on the safest areas in St. Pete/Largo/Clearwater. We'd prefer to live near the beach but safety is priority. Thanks for your help!

St. Pete- South of Central Ave bad until you get out past 49th st. Try to stay away from downtown neighborhoods unless it's Old Northeast neighborhood, better to live on the outer fringes of city limits.

Largo- stay away from Ridgecrest, High Point, Clearwater-Largo Rd neighborhoods. Indian Rocks and Bellaire are nice areas, most nieghborhoods between 8th Ave Se and West Bay Dr. are nice and close to the beaches.

Clearwater- I'd stay east of Missouri Ave. Like St. Pete...Clearwater can get shady around downtown, especially north of Cleveland St up Ft Harrison Ave.

Pretty much anything within a few blocks of the actual beach (along Gulf Blvd) should be very safe.

"Clearwater-Largo Rd neighborhoods"

i disagree that everything in this area is all bad, one just has to look carefully for something decent

i second countryside, dunedin area (within 10 to 20 minutes of beaches, sometimes minutes to the intercoastal)

seminole, largo/seminole/bellair mix, east lake, oldsmar, countryside..... nearest to beaches with high and dry, non flood zone is seminole/largo. You can be two minutes from Indian Shores/Indian Rocks beach and be in a non flood/evac zone. Also very safe neighbourhoods
