Hello!

I was wondering if anyone that is currently living in this community has any advice or feedback regarding the community. I am thinking of purchasing a townhome by Lennar and am planning to move by November. Is there anything I should know about the community?

Any feedback or advice would be appreciated

Thanks

HD

There's a lot of construction outside of Summerfield off of US 301 and Big Bend. Lots of new stores/shopping. The golf course isn't bad. The community has grown a lot over the last decade. Tampa is about 20-30 mins up the road (I-75).

I live in Covington which is a mile or two down the road. I love the area. We went to one of my daughters' friends' birthdays out there. They had a nice club house.. the schools are good... they're lots of little league/soccer/baseball parks and stuff around. The golf course is pretty. All the businesses are new in the area which makes for a nice clean feel. A very family friendly area with a relatively short commute time to Tampa - oh, yeah the traffic on Big Bend in the morning is pretty bad if you're going north. But that's the only bad stretch of traffic... I'd say 10 of your 30 min commute.

One thing I really like about Summerfield is they have all the amenities of a great community with no CDD and a low HOA. Also, there are plans in the works for a new mall and hospital!

Yes, you're correct. Most of the Lennar homes with Chinese Drywall were built from 2005-2007. Lots of good info on City-Data about Chinese Drywall.

I've heard a lot about a mall and hospital and haven't seen much in development. Anyone know the status of this place?
