Default Tampa - St. Petersburg - Clearwater

Are all of these cities commutable? Like can you live in one city, work in either of the other two? or is it too long of a commute?

On the map it looks like a 15-20 mile drive max between any of these cities, but reading these forums makes it seem like traffic is extremely slow/bad.

Maps are always deceiving. Traffic is HORRENDOUS between these cities, it will be a long commute sitting in traffic.

Yes, gypsychic is correct. Traffic between the three cities is notoriously bad and mass transit is practically non-existant. There are people that do it, but us locals don't recommend it.

There are a lot of people that do it, so it is doable, but you may be adding to it LOL
Depends on when you commute too. My husband works in Lakeland, lives near Indian Rocks Beach, he leaves at 7.00 a.m. gets there (given no accidents) in about an hour/fifteen and thats a long drive.
Used to to Davis Island in about 35-40.
Friends live in Old North East and can be downtown Tampa in 20 mins via Gandy Bridge.

Mog111 is on a distinguished road
I live in Clearwater and communte to Tampa (westshore area) daily, I leave at 8:20AM and arrive at around 8:50-8:55AM since I have to be there at 9:00AM. I've seen going across the courtney campbell causeway to be a fast commute, as for I-4 and 275 I have no clue.
