Question Need area with lower taxes and less density that's safe

Where would you suggest I look around the Tampa/St. Pete area for a condo to buy that would be in an area with lower taxes and less density that's safe, clean, and has retirees there? It could be on the north side, east, west, south--just anywhere the taxes are lower and is less dense with people.
I did look at New Port Richey alot and Lutz, but am not entirely sold on those. Any suggestions?

What about Dade City or Sun City? Dade city would have lower taxes because it is in Pasco County. I know a couple of ppl who live there who use to live in Tampa, retired and moved to Dade City.
Sun city also is all 55 and over. Tampaguy03's mother lives there and loves it.

Kenneth City? I think they have slightly lower taxes than other parts of Pinellas. It's safe (possibly due to their overzealous police force) and isn't too dense, but it's fairly dull. On a positive note, it's pretty central to most of the Pinellas communities.

I'm not a big fan of the city, but maybe it would work for you.

Weeki Wachee/Spring Hill is definitely less dense and safe.
There are things to do up here but it is not an entertainment mecca.

I was thinking around Casa del Sol in Clearwater, but the taxes may be too high. Not sure. It's zip 33761. Check it out.

If you are not set on living near the city, Hudson and Spring hill will both fit the bill. Farther north is Crystal River. That is a nice area too.

Just checking out cities close enough to drive into daily but want to avoid (what I hear, anyway) is horribly congested traffic. Had enough of that in Chicago when I lived there..ha! Loved the city...hated the congestion innercity. And I think there are probably alot safer areas outside the innercity and more into the outlying areas.
