Default Tampa/Hillsborough County Flea Markets

My favorite two are the one at Funland Drive in and the one in Plant City... I'm on vacation so I'll get the Wed. one in PC, been around 5 years or so. Anyone have a favorite?

I like some of the Pinellas ones.

There's the Oldsmar in Oldsmar and the Wagon Wheel and Mustang in Seminole.

There's also the Big Top on Fowler near the 275 interchange in Hillsborough County.

I like Big top the best. It's actually near the I-75 / Fowler area. Just between I-75 and 301 N. They seems to have a large amount of different things. I noticed the last few times I was there, more people are doing the "boot sale" thing. Popping open their trunks and selling whatever is in the car.

I go in the cooler months for produce...too wilty in the hot summer months. The closest to my house is the one in Oldsmar then Big Top. Where did the title "flea market" come from?

A neat little flea market in Odessa. Not real big but they have some flowers/bushes that I never found at any other place.

I go to Big Top once in awhile. It seems like the same old thing week after week though. There isn't really any difference week to week unless you hit the fringe area and even that is a crapshoot. Nice one to walk around though. The Oldsmar seems the same to me...

I'm on vacation so I'm going to hit the Plant City one bright and early, I used to go there every week back in the eBay heyday but I haven't been there in a few years, probably 5.

The Silver Moon used to have one in Lakeland... anybody know if its still there?

Funland is nice because there aren't many booths at all and it is set up more like a real flea market instead of a controlled environment. I normally like when regular folks bring things to sell...

I'll post my findings from tommorrow...

I've been going to the outdoor produce area at Wagon Wheel; I think it's called Mustang(?) - you can walk right into it from wagon wheel.
The produce is very fresh, plentiful, inexpensive -compared to Publix - and sometimes exotic. Most of the vendors are asian as are their customers. Some have produce I've never seen before anywhere.
If you get there much later than 11am the produce will have been picked over by the hordes that arrived earlier.
Once I got there at 1:30pm and it was empty; all the vendors had sold out and departed.

I'll admit that the only one I've been to is the one in Oldsmar. I see the Big Top flea market when I'm in the area, but I've never actually been inside.
