Northeast St. Pete near Gandy Blvd and 275? Is this a good area?
Seems like it would be a good area for newcomers to the area like I will be (easy access to both Saint Petersburg and Tampa). Not sure where I will be working.
I found an apartment complex with decent reviews that i can get a place for $550 a month.
What do you think of this area?

It's not a bad area. I don't think there's much to do in the nearby area, but you'd be convenient to most of Pinellas and about half of Tampa.

Tons of homeless people, whores, druggies, and gamblers(derby lane).
Lots of homosexual bars in the area if that is to your liking.
Another positive is that Pete N Shortys is just up the road a tad.

I cant comment extensively about that area but we looked at apartments in the area and some seemed alright. We decided on Feather Sound (1-2 mile from that area), its not as cheap but it seemed like a nicer area. There are a few things really close by (walking distance) and pretty much all essentials within a 10 min drive.
I guess allot of people are spoiled about having stuff near by, I spent like 20 years living in an area where you couldn’t get Pizza delivered or if you wanted to pick up fast food you couldn’t get it home before it got cold.

That would be fine. I am pretty much just looking for a cheap apt to live in while I look for work. And I would like to be centralized so I dont have a really long commute if I get a job in Tampa or something.

I don't know of any gay bars in that area but there is a heterosexual establishment that was busted for white slave trading. Some of those heterosexual bars can be quite deviant. Be careful.

It's an all-right area, especially north of Gandy Blvd on 4th St.
