Hello,

I am needing to find a boarding facility for my little dog Max. Does anyone have any advice (or warnings) for a boarder in the greater Tampa area?

Much Appreciated!!!!!

Try your vet's office, sometimes the vet techs do it (their home or yours) etc.

If you're near Riverview this place is great.

Canine Cabana:: Dog Daycare, Dog Training, Kennel, Tampa, Tampa FL, Brandon, Brandon FL

It's the only place we take ours

Have you considered in in-home dog sitter? We have three dogs so it is much cheaper for us, I don't know if it would be that much cheaper with one.

They seem much less traumatized when we come home than when we board them.

Do not go to dogsrushotel. They are extremely unqualified and let your dogs run around unattended. Moderator cut: complaint

Canine cabana does seem nice. I met them a dog event and they seemed just incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I'm going to take my dog there for play group.

If youre in the Pinellas area... I highly recommend Advantage Pet Center near 66th street/Bryan Dairy. I had my dog (90 pounds) boarded there before and he attended doggie daycare there for about 2 years. The owner Ann and one of the assistants Colleen are both very awesome and very caring people. My dog loved this place and would pep up whenever we turned onto 66th. They take wonderful care of all of the animals in their care and they are not located within the city limits therefore they have much more room for the dogs to run then other boarding places. They also have a little pool and beach area for the dogs to play in. I have never had any problems with them and I would recommend them time and time again!! Good luck!
